BRANDI PLAISANCE, THERAPIST IN GREATER NEW ORLEANS / METAIRIE / JEFFERSON PARISH, LOUISIANA
I believe you have better days ahead.
Do you feel overwhelmed with grief, anxiety, or relationship challenges?
You’re in the right place.
My name is Brandi Plaisance and I am a licensed psychotherapist. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work in 2001, and then earned my licensure in clinical social work. I have dedicated my professional life to helping individuals, couples, and families facing grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, and other life transitions. I have formal training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is the forefront treatment for couples who wish to strengthen and rebuild their bonds.
My goal is to provide a caring space where you feel comfortable being open and honest. I strive to establish a trusting relationship that promotes growth and clarity around a variety of issues. Working together, I believe you can thrive and experience hope, healing, and the personal development needed to live the life you desire.
Therapy with me isn’t all sitting & talking.
We’ll also work on real, practical skills that you can apply to your day-to-day life.
I utilize several modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I have advanced training in EFT, and I am a registered member of The International Centre For Excellence In Emotionally Focused Therapy.
My core values
My therapeutic style is guided by a person centered approach. Your worth matters. You deserve to be seen and valued. Compassion, empathy, and connection will guide me throughout our therapeutic journey.
Compassion
While I value my education (and could easily be a lifetime student if that was a career choice), my connection to my clients, through compassion, is my most valued skill set. Your journey and your well-being matter to me, and that is evident in my practice.
Empathy
I genuinely want to understand where you are coming from…what has lead you to our time together. I value your life experiences and your perspective. I will provide you with the comfort and safety to be exactly who you are with no judgment.
Connection
Connection is a key component to living our best lives. Within our therapeutic relationship, connection and trust will be instrumental in your emotional growth and progress.
